As of July 15, 2024, ahead of the National Sports Card Convention, Certified Collectibles Group® (CCG®) announced the launch of the integrated service by CGC Cards and JSA. This collaboration enables collectors to easily submit their autographed cards for JSA authentication and CGC Cards grading and encapsulation through a unified process.
Building on the successful introduction of CGC x JSA certification for comics in May, CCG expands its autograph authentication offerings by acquiring JSA earlier this year. The future plan includes extending the combined authentication and grading services to magazines, pulps, and concert posters to cater to a broader spectrum of collectors.
Just in time for the highly anticipated National Sports Card Convention, CGC x JSA certification services for cards will be available at the event, offering on-site authentication, grading, and encapsulation services. CGC, a pioneer in witnessed signature authentication through its CGC Signature Series for comics since 2001, is on the brink of launching the CGC Signature Series for cards. The impressive autograph database of nearly 1 million images and state-of-the-art technology are utilized by JSA to deliver accurate and reliable authentication services.
Autographed cards certified by CGC and JSA will bear the distinctive CGC x JSA Authentic Autograph label, featuring both brand names and a recognizable “Authentic Autograph” designation in yellow. For those interested, autograph grading can be requested, with the grade prominently displayed on the label alongside the card’s grade and description. Moreover, CGC Cards Grader Notes will accompany encapsulated cards, offering detailed information about the signers.
For premium cards that meet the highest standards, CGC Cards presents the exclusive gold CGC x JSA Pristine 10 label, reserved for cards that achieve a CGC Pristine 10 grade, signifying exceptional quality and condition.
